haha, once again, it's been quite awhile since i blogged.
been really really busy with final crit preparations.
and i'm very happy to say that my crit went well! far better than what i expected. that's what the lecturers commented too, that i've exceeded their expectations. hmm, just bear with me for this entry? haha..
my concept was about hide-and-seek, where the 2 occupants, shel silverstein and my mom, resides in 2 seperated spaces. in other words, there are gaps between their spaces as they do not touch each other. so, the in-between spaces is transformed into a tight usable and must-g0 transitional space such as a washroom or a storage space. there's where hide-and-seek begins.
towards the end of the crit, tears begin to fill the corners of my eyes. then serene was like, "don't cry! we haven't even start yet!". i was putting up a strong front and argued that i wasn't going to cry. but i failed lah. haha.. i finally lost it when poh started and said he'd buy my idea, and it's a good project. tears of joy. haha.
though the first 2 projects weren't good at all,it really feels good to reap what you sow now.
hmmm... the remarks they made were the best fruit i've sown. thanks to edmund too, for guiding me along the way.
i'm missing year 1 now... emo sia. haha
here are some perspectives i've done on vitz. 
entrance. the hint of stairs is actually to trigger pre-conceptions of being the only connector to the nx space. there's actually another alternative on the left. it's blocked by the wall intentionally. haha

Shel's Koi Aquarium. elaine suggest jellyfishes could be a better mean to bring out shel silverstein's playful personality, and the walls should be a "whiteboard" for him too. 
i failed to achieve the soothing ambience though i used orange lights. they said the design was too HDB.
i have alot to work on my design and aesthetic sense. the perspectives didnt show much design, like what edmuned said, the bedroom is very very very commonly seen. i actually got this idea from deviantart.com when edmund thought i took it from some lousy magazines such as home and decor. LOL.
