ALOHA! been back from bintan since 29/08/06, 8.30pm. haha... it's like 4 or 5 days ago but i'm only blogging now... ANyway, Bintan was considered fun, mainly because of the people who went and lecturers. in the afternoon, it poured and we were pooling away happily until around 4.30pm when we should assemble at the beach for sandcastle competition at 3.30pm. to what i did not expect, we got ticked off by a year two tutor. felt really guilty cos we made everyone wait for us! nevertheless, we managed to clinch the 2nd place out of 6 sand castles! =)) edmund and poh shared some freaky encounters at night and true enough, it freaked most of us inside out that we decided to wreck havoc in the storytellers room after everything. it wasn't squeezy altho there were 10-12 of us in the room cuz nt everyone slept... needless to say i'm always the first few to knock out after getting HIGH. haha...
very much wanted to catch the sunrise that morning leh, but.. i just couldnt open my eyes when i heard helpless voices of edmund, baoting and.. i cant remember who. went cycling after breakfast. that was one of the very few affordable leisure activities there. super hot weather then, forced to wear a helmet for no valid reasons? if it was deemed to be a protective gear or something, knee guards and elbow pads should be given too, cuz you dont land on your skull first when you fall from a bike right? here, im referring to those light falls from lose of control or imbalance... NOT those fatal falls where you fly over a few metres distance, crack ur neck and bid good bye to the world. the most ridiculous part was to follow a tour guide even when we're cycling! thankgod that was only AT THE BEGINNING. after going up a relatively steep slope, the tour guild kindly granted us freedom! haha..
the only thing i'm unhappy with is the absurd pricing of items. hmm. OVERLY RIDICULOUS for a toe-filling cup noodle to price up to SGD$3, and another freaking buck for it to be cooked- YES, THEY CHARGE MONEY EVEN FOR HOT WATER. sian!! OH YAH, dinner buffet wasn't impressive too. for $36, i'm sure to pay lesser and indulge at least 10 times more in some local hotels. SIAN. lessons learnt: bring cup noodles the next time you go there. 2: cook the noodles before checking out the room. 3: bring every board game you have. and.. last and most importantly, DONT GO IF YOU CAN. =D
ok lah, afterall the trip was NOT TT BAD. like i say FUN, provided if you go with the right people. AWESOMEEEEE. TEEHEE.
tried to upload some pictures but it didnt succeed. try again tmr..
good night!
